• One of the most critical point of hydroponic strawberry cultivation is the mother plants. The productivity of the plantation throughout the growing season depends on the quality of propagating material. It is no exaggeration to say that the propagation material counts as 50% of the success of strawberry cultivation. In Cyprus, selected fresh chilled plants produced by guaranteed nurseries abroad (mainly from Spain, Italy & USA).

 • The variety CAMAROSA has got the largest market share (> 50%) of the cultivated area. The variety has characteristics that set the standards for other varieties grown in the market. Several other varieties were and are tested and used according to local market conditions.
